Kelli Worrall

Field Chair of Music and Media Arts and Professor of Communications

Kelli Worrall is the Field Chair of Music and Media Arts and a Professor of Communications at Moody, where she has served since 1998. She teaches writing and speaking classes and has directed many plays on campus. She also advises the Professor Worrall is the author of Pierced and Embraced: 7 Life-Changing Encounters with the Love of Christ (Moody Publishers, 2017) and the co-author (with husband Peter, also an MBI faculty member) of 20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomething Selves (Moody Publishers, 2015). She contributed to the Moody Handbook of Preaching (Moody Publishers, 2008) and the One Volume Seminary (Moody Publishers, 2022). She is a regular contributor to Moody’s daily devotional Today in the Word. To date, her TITW studies have been the following: Esther (February 2020), Hosea (August 2021), Women in the Old Testament (March 2021 and March 2022), Luke (December 2022), Women in the New Testament (March 2023), and the upcoming Send Me: What the Bible Says about Calling (November 2023). Other writing projects include curriculum products and Bible study materials for various publishers and a work-for-hire biography, Preserved by Providence (2023).

Professor Worral is passionate about sharing the truth of God’s Word in a variety of settings. She regularly speaks at women’s retreats and events. She and Peter also speak together at marriage, family, and young adult retreats.

Professor Worrall serves on the Bible teaching team for the women’s ministry at her home church, Grace Community Bible Church, in Lake Villa, Illinois.

She studied Communications at Cedarville University (BS), Religious Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MRE), and Creative Writing at Roosevelt University (MFA).

The Worralls live in McHenry, Illinois, with their two children through adoption: Daryl (15) and Amelia (12).
