Music Performances

Once in the program, you can participate in annual musical productions, such as Candlelight Carols, a musical drama, and domestic and international ensemble tours. You will also have consistent opportunities to lead musical worship in chapel, and all music students present a final recital of their work.

Capstones & Recitals

Each of our Music or Communications seniors presents a final performance or showcase - come see what they’re been up to!
The senior-level project in the Communications program represents a synthesis of students' interests, coursework, experiences, skills, and future career aspirations. This capstone work often involves collaboration with a client, allowing students to apply their learning in a practical context. Through the development of a project designed to serve a ministry setting, students demonstrate their ability to integrate communication strategies in meaningful and impactful ways.

The MBI Music & Media Arts field produces musical theater, full-length plays, smaller pieces, Scripture performances, and original scripts.

Media Practicum Teams

The engine of our Communications program is our media practicum teams. These student-led, faculty-advised teams produce exciting professional-level work each year. Every communications student is required to spend at least one semester on a practicum team. Many students extend their practicum involvement for a full year or more.
